Gearmotors /Reducers - An AC gearmotor comprises a set of three windings in the stator section, a basic rotating section and an integral gearbox. The changing field causes 50-60 Hertz AC line voltage causes the rotor to rotate about the axis of the motor. In a DC gearmotor, a magnetic field is maintained using either permanent magnets or electromagnetic windings.
