PNEUMATIC ACTUATORS
A Pneumatic Actuator converts energy (in the form of compressed air) into motion. Generally, pneumatic actuators consist of a piston, a cylinder and valve or port. The piston keeps the air in the upper portion of cylinder. Pressure is transferred to the valve stem, which is hooked up to either valve plug, battery plug etc.
