Dynetic Systems designs motors and gear motors to work seamlessly in our customer’s applications. That is why one third of our employees are in the engineering, prototype and R&D areas.

   When called by a UUV manufacturer and asked to improve their propulsion system, we designed a 2.6” diameter gearmotor to replace their current 4” diameter gearmotor. They quickly realized that the reduction in motor volume and thus the weight of the vehicle allowed them to reduce the overall size of the craft, eliminate buoyancy issues and increase mobility. They were able to redesign the craft, making it portable enough to fit in the back of a pickup truck, which immediately opened up new markets and increased sales. This redesign was made possible by using newer magnet materials coupled with a special motor design taking advantage of the thermal properties of the environment in which it operated. The entire design was completed on our state of the art motor software.

   For years police and bomb disposal units were using an unmanned ground vehicle. When the same vehicle was introduced to the military, they found it needed more power and speed to do the job safely. Dynetic offered a solution by using an off the shelf brushless motor design and customizing the case to fit the current envelope. This offered a direct upgrade path to a motor with 3.3 times the wattage and 3.1 times the output torque. The most appreciated improvement was a 1.8 times increase in ground speed. Now the troops could operate the vehicle within a more comfortable safety margin. Since the motor was a tested and proven design, it was also cost effective, and could be delivered in weeks not months.

   All of these applications were made possible by having our engineering staff work directly with our customers. Engineer to engineer communication generally offers a shortened design cycle, an opportunity to control costs and most importantly it results in a product that truly works in our customers applications.

   For over 20 years Dynetic has been quality approved to supply the aerospace industry and has earned dock to stock status from some of the largest airplane manufacturers in the world. Often Dynetic maintains matching test equipment designed by our customers. Every motor is individually tested and certified to our customers test criteria. On medical applications we are often required to meet demanding acoustic levels and test every motor to required db levels. Dynetic offers Mil-Spec, DFARS compliant, sealed and EMI/RFI filtered motors, along with integrated feedback and control systems.

   Dynetic specializes in integrating gearheads into our motors offering a complete drive package. The geared product line ranges from servo systems with 3 arc/minutes of backlash to right angle drive systems with hollow shafts for industrial use. Gearing offers more torque in a smaller package for those machine manufacturers with space restrictions. Over the years Dynetic has accumulated over 40,000 motor designs to match almost any need.
