The Engineered Solutions Group currently supplies full-scale systems to the flat-panel display, semiconductor, solar, aerospace, and life sciences industries, incorporating air-bearing, linear motor and pneumatic technology with composite or conventional materials to create a total solution. We differentiate ourselves by aligning our organization around customers that require a high degree of cooperative engineering design and aftermarket support. We deliver exceptional value through our product portfolio and engineering competency.
To meet the stringent specification demands of any given OEM, the team forges strong engineering relationships with each customer to fully understand their process requirements. This one-on-one contact builds trust and confidence while increasing our ability to execute the project.
The Engineered Solutions Group uses Lotus® QuickPlace® to maintain constant communication with the customer. This collaborative, secured Intranet website allows both the customer and the engineering team to exchange information on a 24/7 basis in different time zones around the world.
The site becomes a general depository of all technical exchanges, drawings and correspondence between the two parties. A typical project includes:
• Customer specifications and request for quote
• E-mail correspondence
• The original proposal and subsequent revisions
• Preliminary design review and critical design review
• Accepted test procedures
• Production Gantt charts and milestones
• Secured internal correspondence and analysis
• Spare parts list and pricing
• Preventative maintenance and manuals
Through years of motion system design and manufacturing, we have developed a collaborative development cycle and systematic six-step project management process that lead the motion industry and allow our engineering team to maintain a strict timeline to develop and execute projects.
This six-step process includes: 1) Understanding the customer’s needs; 2) Analyzing the proposed system value and optimal component sizing; 3) Creating a solution proposal based on system requirements, cost effectiveness of options, proposed system design and analysis, price quotation and delivery schedule; 4) Assigning a project manager who uses a secure, web-based tool to manage progress and keep everyone in the loop; 5) Developing a mutually agreed upon document that outlines the procedures, tools and methods used to verify that all project performances meet desired specifications; and 6) After-sales support that includes an engineer on site during delivery, machine inspection, training, maintenance and 24/7 support.
With industry-leading experience in the systems design team, a collaborative development process, and a proven, systematic project management process, Parker Bayside’s Engineered Solutions Group is fully prepared to handle any customer’s system needs.
