Association for High Technology Distribution to send Trade Delegation to Europe

The Association for High Technology Distribution will send a trade delegation to the Hannover Fair in April 2007.  According to Jim Norton, President of AHTD, the delegation has been charged with three basic purposes, including

 

  • Educating manufacturers of the benefits of dealing through AHTD members;

 

  • Identifying emerging technologies applicable to North American Industrial Automation;

 

  • and creating partnerships which allow for faster application of technology to North American Manufacturers.

AHTD is the trade association for Factory Automation in North America.  It is has over 250 member companies dedicated to improving the automation process through the application of engineering knowledge and product support.  AHTD Distributor members represent over $2.2 Billion in Automation Product Sales every year.

About Hannover Fair

The Hannover Fair is held each year in Hannover, Germany and remains the leading showcase for industrial technology.  It brings together more than 6,000 exhibitors in over 2 Million sq-ft of displays.  This year, Turkey will be the hosting country with 200 Turkish organizations showcasing new manufacturing and automation technology.
