BURLINGTON, MA --Steinmeyer, Inc. announced a new ultra compact precision positioning rotary stage. The model DT 180-SM offers a sleek design with an overall height of 63 mm and length of 310 mm. This rotary stage weighs only 6.2 kg, but can handle centric loads up to 300 Newtons. Driven by a stepper motor, the stages offers NEMA 23 flange, it has a positional accuracy of 0.1 degrees, repeatability of less than 0.05 degrees and surface run out of <0.02 mm. Speeds up to 90 degrees/sec and accelerations greater than 500 degrees/sec² are easily achieved.
The DT 180-SM Rotary Stage offers a 100 mm center aperture and is manufactured from a low distortion aluminum alloy and is black anodized. Options include: Integrated controller; integrated magnetic brake, clean room and vacuum compatibility.
