Motion Control Exchange

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. – igus®’ DryLin® T linear guides are an ideal alternative to costly re-circulating ball bearing systems. They are available as an off-the-shelf solution so time-to-market is reduced and expensive custom-designs are eliminated.

DryLin T requires no lubrication, virtually eliminating the need for maintenance. It is comprised of a hard-anodized aluminum T-shaped rail, an adjustable carriage and igus’ iglide® J polymer gliding elements. The self-lubricating plastic material helps the carriages to slide smoothly over the rails and reduce friction and wear rates. DryLin T is also corrosion-resistant and can be used in wet environments.

If space constraints are an issue, the clearance on any DryLin T linear guide can be adjusted for a space-saving solution. They are lightweight and extremely quiet for applications in clean rooms or the medical industry. Depending on the assembly, DryLin T can handle loads from 215 pounds up to 3,140 pounds and withstand temperatures reaching 194 degrees Fahrenheit. They can also be used in more demanding industries, like food manufacturing, packaging and woodworking.
