CANminiBOX™ is a versatile, compact embedded controller for CANbus control applications. The product’s 128 MB SD-RAM holds pre-installed Linux OS (other options available), with a 512 MB CompactFlash card storage. Power consumption is less than 6 W for passive cooling. DIN-rail mounted units can be placed almost anywhere, as the dimensions are 3 in. x 2 in. x 4.7 in. Weight is less than 1 lb.
The unit features an AMD Élan 133MHz SC520 processor, with front-panel availability for 10/100MBit/s Ethernet, status LED’s, an RS232 serial port, a CAN port, and one USB1.1 port. Units are 10-28 Vdc powered for vehicle battery-powered operation. CANminiBOX™ operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 to +50° C (+32° F to +120° F). All inputs feature ESD protection of 2 kV.
