Marlborough, MA - Ruland Manufacturing Co. Inc., manufacturer of couplings and shaft collars, and Belden Inc., manufacturer of universal joints, have started a joint venture in Europe, PTMotion GmbH. Operational since 1 September 2009, the new company is headquartered in Berlin, Germany.
Ruland and Belden have joined forces in Europe to better serve OEM customers in Germany and other European markets, to generate new business, and to manage distributor relationships. The new company is headed by managing director Ralf Gabriel, long-time sales engineer for Belden in Germany. He is assisted by sales engineer Sebastian Recke.
