Minneapolis, MN — TURCK announces that the company’s BIM-UNR, BIM-UNT and Q-pak® sensors are now equipped with WeldGuard™ protection, making them impervious to weld slag and spatter often present in MIG and TIG welding environments. TURCK’s proprietary WeldGuard protective material has been applied to these compact, rectangular sensors’ faces, and protective sleeves are also available to protect the attached connector and cordset.
TURCK’s BIM-UNR and BIM-UNT line of magnetic cylinder position sensors are among the most compact sensors on the market. The BIM-UNR sensor is designed to mount within C-groove cylinders, while the BIM-UNT mounts in T-groove, dovetail or tie rod pneumatic cylinders—all without requiring additional tools or accessories.
Q-pak uprox®+ factor 1 proximity sensors from TURCK feature an extended sensing range of 8 mm for all metal types, including copper, aluminum and stainless steel. The Q-pak series includes the Q08 sensor, which consumes a small footprint and is well suited for areas with limited mounting space. An IP 68 protection rating ensures the sensors can be deployed in a wide variety of applications.
