The PH20 probe head has infinite position capability to increase touch-trigger CMM inspection throughput up to three times. For use with the TP20 touch-trigger probe, the head brings 5-axis inspection capability to smaller CMMs by optimizing the working volume of the measurement platform. It is available for new CMMs, as well as retrofit machines using shank or quill mounting. The PH20 uses head motion to minimize CMM movement at higher measurement speeds. It uses a Renishaw UCC controller for connection to existing metrology and application software through the I++ protocol.
