An inclination sensor that provides the angle of an object in relation to the gravitational field of the Earth can be useful in a game console to understand the orientation of the joystick. A more critical application is measuring the angle of the boom of a crane to prevent the crane from tipping over. In either case, a new fluid capacitive inclination sensor from 2E can address the measurement.
Unlike other inclination sensors on the market, the new sensor offers a measurement capability over the complete 360-degree range with an accuracy of <0.1° that is independent of the local gravitational acceleration, so it can be used anywhere in the world.
