CC-Link is a family of open technology industrial control networks that provide high speed, deterministic communication linking a wide range of multi-vendor automation devices over a single cable.
The newest versions are CC-Link IE (Industrial Ethernet) controller level and field level networks. These Ethernet-based networks operate at 1 Gigabit per second to provide extremely fast communication from the field (sensor/actuator) level to the controller level to the enterprise level of a manufacturing operation.
There are 5 levels of CC-Link networking
Open-technology
deterministic 1 Gigabit Industrial Ethernet network linking
controllers and plant enterprise systems. Ethernet switches are not
required for determinism.
Open-technology 1
Gigabit Industrial Ethernet network linking field level devices
to controllers. Ethernet switches are not required for determinism.
Open-technology
RS485-based field device network with performance up to 10 Mbps
Open-technology
safety network to provide conformance with industry safety
standards while being fully compatible with the CC-Link field device
network
Open-technology
sensor level network that is fully compatible with the CC-Link
field device network.
Why choose
CC-Link? High-performance, ease of installation & use, global
acceptance, and leadership in Gigabit Ethernet networking are
primary reasons. There are over 7 million installed CC-Link nodes and
over 1100 CC-Link compatible products on the market. These products
include industrial PCs, PLCs, robots, servos, drives, valve manifolds,
digital & analog I/O modules, temperature controllers, mass flow controllers,
bar code & RFID readers, and many others. Many export orientated
American manufacturers are now incorporating CC-Link compatibility
because of its strength in Asia.
