VHS Solenoid Valve Manifold is Ideal for Flow Injection Applications
An Injection Manifold Mount System which enables the precise injection of a fluid into a flow stream is the latest addition to The Lee Company’s range of miniature components. This new system means any ported
Lee VHS (Very High Speed) micro-dispense solenoid valve can be mounted so that the outlet port is in close proximity to the flow stream. This ensures the dual benefit of minimal captive capillary volume and increased injected volume repeatability. Lee VHS two-way solenoid valves are acknowledged as having set the standard for applications requiring the very precise control of liquids, down to microliter and nanoliter dispense volumes. As a result, this new mounting system will be ideal for laboratory, biomedical and chemistry applications, and especially for flow injection analyzers (FIA).
The system features a captive capillary volume of 0.5µL and pressures up to 120 psi. Teflon® (ferrule) is the only additional wetted material, since the mounting nut and pressure plate do not contact the fluid.
The manifolds are available in one, two, three and four-place standard configurations. For greater flexibility, and to enable future expansion, boss plugs are available to effectively seal any unused valve ports in the manifold. Valves and plugs can be installed and removed repeatedly as required and the valves can be rotated after installation without compromising the seal.
Miniature Insert Orifice Provides Superior Accuracy
The Lee Company introduces new, miniature, calibrated IMH Insert Orifices for both liquids and gases. Available in 2.5 and 5.5mm diameters, these new cartridge style orifices are the smallest, self retained flow restrictors available, and are designed to provide far more accuracy than an ordinary drilled hole. Accuracy is confirmed by 100% flow testing to ensure that every orifice is within ± 5% of its nominal flow rate. Constructed entirely of stainless steel, the new IMH Insert Orifices are available in a range of flow rates, with orifice sizes as small as 0.002” (.05mm). Certain models are offered with an integral safety screen. Installation is simple using Lee’s proven controlled expansion principle, which provides retention and creates a leak-tight seal that prevents bypass leakage.
High Pressure Valve Features Stable Relief Flow Performance
The Lee Company’s new 375 High Pressure PRI is a relief valve designed for optimal performance in applications with high backpressure. This new relief valve has shown stable relief flow performance in applications with backpressures up to 850 psig.
The 375 High Pressure PRI offers a range of cracking pressures for 3000, 4000 and 5000 psi systems with system peak pressures up to 6750 psi.
