PT Pilot® Drive Selection Tool
SEW-EURODRIVE’s modular product designs make it possible to choose from millions of different configurations. PT Pilot v3.0 simplifies the choices and identifies a solution customized for each application in minutes. The powerful tools include technical documentation and pricing, and can be accessed using a standard web browser. No special software or plug-ins are required. The entire process is intuitive and completely paperless.
To access SEW’s extensive catalog of gearmotor products, one simply enters either the horsepower and speed requirements of an application or types in the SEW model number. PT Pilot v3.0 then moves through a series of point-and-click screens to select the gearbox, inverter, motor, mounting position, conduit type and other components that best meet design requirements. All options available for each unit are listed to help further refine selections. Designed to speed product selection and increase order accuracy for both customers and distributors, PT Pilot automatically generates SEW nomenclature and order specifications. Each session results in a final quote with specifications, dimensions and pricing that can be printed out or emailed to place an order.
MOVIFIT®
The new MOVIFIT® Integrated Field Technology combines the advantages of decentralized control with the latest in drive application and communication technologies for automotive, food and beverage, log i s t i c s and other sophisticated material handling applications.
The modular MOVIFIT series is available in both standard IP65 and hygienic wash down IP69K rated construction, providing a flexible and highly scalable platform for plant-wide decentralized control in a wide range of wet and dry environments. Preconfigured control routines for both horizontal and vertical conveyor applications provide ready-to-use functions that simplify programming and start-up. They make it easy to engineer solutions using standard conveyor modules. Drive parameters can be set simply without configuration tools using DIP switches or programmed over fieldbus.
Real-time diagnostics for greater equipment availability is enabled through the latest communication networks, including EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, DeviceNet and PROFIBUS. This wide range of communication options simplifies integration of the latest control technology into existing plant systems.
MOVITRAC® LTE B
Exceptional control for simple machines is now more affordable with the introduction of SEW’s MOVITRAC LTE B, a frequency inverter designed to simplify control of asynchronous motors. The new drive, with dynamic braking, better low speed motor control and embedded communications, is an economical solution for a wide range of applications.
The MOVITRAC LTE B drive boasts user-friendly operations and an exceptionally compact footprint. It is available in three sizes and with either a standard IP20 or rugged IP55/NEMA 12k housing for demanding environments where the drive could be exposed to dust or water.
ASEPTICplus
A new IP69K-rated motor with a smoothbodied, hygienic design is at the heart of the new ASEPTICplus gearmotor from SEW. The resulting hygienic gearmotor is designed to perform reliably in the high pressure, high temperature wash down conditions found in the food processing i n d u s t r y, where the aggressive c l e a n i n g agents and processes needed to maintain a h y g i e n i c e n v i r o n - ment are a frequent cause of electrical and mechanical failures.
The DAS motor is integrally mounted with SEW gear units to create the ASEPTICplus gearmotor. The hygienic design means the motor has a smooth surface without recesses. Since there is no place for bacteria or contaminants to hide, this allows thorough and efficient cleaning. Plus, the TENV (totally enclosed nonventilated) motor prevents contaminants from being spread by airflow.
Stainless steel gear unit output shaft options include solid or hollow shaft with key or SEW’s innovative TorqLOC® system.
