Our drawn arc and capacitor discharge (CD) stud welding equipment provides our customers with a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and gauges, including specialty fasteners. Our Smart Weld™ digital arc stud welding equipment helps raise productivity with features like Auto Weld™, which enables operators to determine weld parameters quickly by simply entering the fastener size and type of material.
The drawn arc stud welding method provides highly reliable fastening for a wide variety of applications. This method allows almost any size or configuration of a metal stud to be welded quickly to a workpiece, while providing maximum weld penetration and reliability.
Our CD stud welding solutions offer the advantages of very short weld times and welding small-diameter studs to thin, lightweight materials. One of the benefits of shorter weld times is minimized heat build-up, resulting in much less weld distortion, discoloration, or burning. If appearance is a major concern for your welds, CD may be an ideal option.
IMAGE weld studs feature standard threads (UNC-2A for U.S. threads and 6g for metric threads) as well as customized thread specifications available upon request. Carbon steel and standard mild steel are the standard materials for our metal fasteners, and other materials are available through special order.
