All Metric Small Parts (aMsp) was created by the management team of Designatronics, Inc. in anticipation of a global demand for metric dimensioned, 100% RoHS compliant industrial hardware components. The RoHS directive issued by the EU parliament in January 2003 was written as part of a plan to reduce the use of hazardous substances in Europe. As this directive has been implemented throughout Europe, its effects have been felt worldwide. A supplier located anywhere in the world can be called upon to certify that their components or system do not contain any of the substances banned under the directive or face the possibility of the parts being rejected.

Our company was formed to anticipate the demand for these components and as such, aMsp is able to take this problem of sourcing RoHS compliant components out of the hands of the designer or purchasing agent because all of the components that we offer are always 100% compliant. Another problem encountered by maintenance teams worldwide is finding components made in the proper dimensions. By sourcing from aMsp, there is no issue with finding replacement or spare parts for the end-user because all of the components are also 100% metric dimensioned. This allows for a machine to be built in Iowa and shipped to Australia or France and the local technician will be able to source replacement parts when needed. In addition, many of the products offered are produced to the DIN standard.

This combination of RoHS compliance and metric dimensioning allow the design engineer to build a machine or system that can be sold worldwide without having to worry about compliance and maintenance issues.
