Newly Approved Medical Grade Materials:
Resins that meet USP Class VI, ISO 10993-5 Cytotoxicity, ISO 10993- 10 Sensitization and ISO 10993-10 Irritation certifications. These medical grade materials like clear Watersherd®XC 11122 and white ProtoGenTM produce highly detailed parts that and fully functional, suitable for testing and evaluation for:

TetraShellTM:
Software which produces reduced-density stereolithography parts - a cost effective alternative for the production of large, bulky parts. Until recently, hollow build SL software has been restricted primarily to investment casting pattern applications. The TetraShellTM software will allow SL part builders to widely vary wall thickness, as well as to adjust support parameters— and consequently opens doors previously closed to SL because of cost or weight considerations. Due to overall reduction of mass, the TetraShell hollow build style will create considerable material savings for customers with bulky parts, while at the same time increasing part accuracy.
MC2 (Metal Clad Composite):
A coating process what combines two technologies to approach the mechanical properties of metals, while maintaining the light weight advantages of plastics. Parts made from Somos NanoTool™ result is a highly stiffened composite with significantly enhanced physical properties for low-volume direct manufacturing production.
Clear and Colorless Materials
As a innovation leader, DSM Somos offers a full line of industry leading resins including two exciting clear SL resins: WaterShed® XC —a near colorless version of the best-selling ABS-like
WaterShed® 11120 material, and WaterClear® Ultra —the clearest SL resin available on the market today. WaterShed XC produces strong, tough, waterresistant, ABS-like parts. Most importantly parts created with WaterShed 11122 are nearly colorless, and look more like true, clear engineered plastic.
WaterClear Ultra 10122 is a next generation optically clear resin with ABS like properties and good temperature resistance. It produces colorless, functional, accurate parts that simulate acrylic in appearance. WaterClear Ultra is a fast, low viscosity, general-purpose resin.
