Delta Tau’s latest generation machine controller,
the Power PMAC, is a general-purpose embedded
computer running under a hard real-time Linux
OS with a sophisticated motion and machine
control application built in. Users can program in
the easy-to-use Script language, which facilitates many of the tasks unique to specifying motion and I/O.
They can also program tasks in the standard C language, leveraging its sophistication and flexibility. The
Power PMAC has the capability to provide a full operator interface as well, eliminating the need for a PC.
Power PMAC EtherLite
The Power PMAC EtherLite controller is a compact, conveniently
packaged, dedicated controller for driving either MACRO and/
or EtherCAT real-time motion (servo) and I/O networks. The
Power PMAC EtherLite communicates to the host PC via
Ethernet, or operates standalone, while providing a single-wire
connection to any MACRO and/or EtherCAT drive, I/O or other
peripheral devices. Capable of controlling up to 256 axes and
thousands of I/O points, the Power PMAC EtherLite employs
the motion and software features of the Power PMAC family
in systems with highly distributed networked hardware from
vendors of your choosing.
Geo Power Brick LV (Coming Soon!)
The Geo Power Brick LV (Low Voltage) is Delta Tau’s latest addition to the Brick
family of multi-axis ‘Smart Amplifiers’. The ‘LV’ combines the intelligence
and capability of the Power PMAC motion controller with advanced MOSFET
technology, resulting in a compact, smart 4-, or 8-axis servo/stepper drive
package. The flexibility of the Power PMAC enables the Geo Power Brick LV to
drive stepper, brush, or brushless motors simultaneously in any combination
with unsurpassed performance. The absence of analog signals, required for
typical motion controller/drive interfacing , enables higher gains, better overall
performance and tighter integration, while significantly driving down system
costs and setup times. With the Power Brick’s ability to support a mouse, keyboard
and display unit, the Geo Power Brick, together with its hard real-time
Linux OS, becomes a highly cost effective, complete, powerful and flexible
controller for a multitude of applications. |
