LOW COST, HIGH EFFICIENCY

ACTUATOR TYPE VLA

THK’s Type VLA Actuator has fewer components and a lower overall cost, by using a THK LM Guide for its base. Long-term cost savings are also realized through the Type VLA’s incorporation of patented Caged Technology, a QZ Lubricator, and electro-mechanical components. The VLA’s electro-mechanical components offer improved energy efficiency, as well as cleaner and quieter operation. Contamination from lubricants, audible noise and damaging friction are greatly reduced.

TY SERIES OF HIGH SPEED

LINEAR ACTUATORS

THK’s new TY Series Linear Actuator is designed to reach super high speeds of up to 5 m/sec. (16.4 ft./sec.), and accelerations up to 5Gs. Integrated with THK’s own Type SHS LM guide, as well as the QZ lubricator, the TY Series operates long-term and maintenance- free. The TY Series features a compact cross section. Meeting the demands of servo applications, THK’s new actuator provides standardized planetary gearboxes in 3:1, 5:1 and 9:1 ratios for optimum load inertia matching. Utility hardware is offered to allow for the easy construction of multi-axis systems, as well as to facilitate a variety of drive input shaft configurations.

INCREASED LOAD RATINGS

WITH NEW LONG BLOCK TYPE SRS-N LINEAR

MOTION GUIDE

THK’s new Type SRS-N features a longer block with block body consisting of resin molding for reduced weight and an increased load rating and moment capacity. Type SRS-N increased block lengths start from size 9 to 15. The dynamic load rating for the Type SRS-N starts at 3.48 C (kN),while static load ratings start at 3.34 Co(kN). Featuring patented THK Caged Technology, the Type SRS-N performs with smooth, quiet motion.

 NEW DOUBLE-ROW TYPE RW ROLLER

RING DELIVERS INCREASED RIGIDITY IN

A COMPACT BODY

THK’s Type RW Double-Row Roller Ring features compact, yet highly rigid construction. The double-row roller structure at 45° and integrated inner and outer rings of the Type RW result in 20 to 30 percent higher rigidity than competitor models. The Type RW’s use of small rollers reduces differential slip and therefore the torque required for rotation is small. Installing the Type RW is easy due to the inclusion of mounting holes on the inner and outer rings. Housings and presser flanges are not required, and few assembly parts are needed. Design configuration is flexible per customer specifications.

Engineering Makes the Difference

As the pioneer of the linear motion system and the patent innovator of Caged Technology, THK continues to be the preferred world leader in re-circulating, ball linear motion guide technology.  This means engineers can trust THK motion control solutions.  In fact, when engineers select THK as their motion control partner, they get the benefit of THK’s industry leading Global Engineering Team of Linear Motion Experts.

THK has developed a line of products that incorporate THK’s latest innovation - Caged Technology that separates rolling elements with a synthetic resin cage that retains grease, and reduces maintenance costs.   Caged Technology offers these specific benefits:

Higher load capacities allow space-saving alternatives for design in smaller guides.

Increased operating speeds for higher production quantities.

Long-term, maintenance-free – 3x longer than others providing more than 30,000 kM of operation without maintenance.

No vibration “noise” from ball-to-ball contact allows for high precision applications to run with smoother motion.

Heat from friction is drastically reduced because the rolling elements never touch, protecting against grease breakdown and excessive wear of rolling elements.

Ultra-low particulate generation assures greater reliability in “clean” environments.

THK’s experienced Global Engineering Team can provide customized linear motion solutions with our standard linear motion products as well as our mechatronics products for your most demanding applications.
