Blind Rivet Nuts are used in many industries including automotive, HVAC, furniture, military, aerospace, truck & trailer, and agricultural equipment. Some applications are:

• Attaching luggage racks to cars

• Place hinges on a door

• Leg levelers in appliances

• Mount a compressor to a base pan

• Attaching a spoiler to a car

• Attaching components to a hospital bed

RIV-FLOAT® - is a revolutionary patent pending rivet nut with internally floating threads that allow for component attachments in off center applications and can accommodate for tolerance stack up in the manufacturing process. The floating nut (.020” radial float) aligns to drive the angle of the screw and thus eliminates cross threading and spin out. RIV-FLOAT® was designed for post installation in applications where cage nuts, clinch nuts, floating nut plates or weld nuts are typically used.

Sherex LOCSERT® - is a rivet nut with a pre-applied adhesive under the head of the rivet nut. Sherex and Loctite® have worked together to develop this proprietaryadhesive . When the rivet nut is installed, the installation pressure ruptures the Loctite® microcapsules activating the bonding process. The product greatly increases the spin out resistance of the rivet nut.

Sherex Seal2 – Sherex Seal2 has been specifically designed for use as a pre-applied gasket type system for sealing rivets, threaded plugs and bolts. Sherex Seal2 outperforms competitive products in heat resistant, chemical resistance, and operating sealing pressures. The system incorporates a unique material, which is a flexible organic-based product that can replace ‘O’ rings and plastisol as a head sealant in the marketplace.

FASTENING SOLUTIONS

Founded in 2004 Sherex Fastening Solutions is a leading value added distributor and manufacturer of Blind Rivet Nuts and various specialized fasteners throughout North America. Sherex Blind Rivet Nuts are manufactured in Taiwan and Europe in accordance with our drawings and technical requirements. Blind Rivet Nuts are used when materials are too thin; you can’t get to the backside of the material, or when easy disassembly and reassembly of products is required. Blind Rivet Nuts can be installed into multiple sheet materials such as steel, plastic, fiberglass, and aluminum. The material can be as thin as .010 inches. Prepainted materials can be used with Blind Rivet Nuts, as they will not damage the base material during the installation process. Blind Rivet Nuts can be installed quickly with inexpensive, easy-touse tooling. They are also referred to as a “captive fastener” in that once installed, it is self retained in the material and cannot fall out of the assembly.
