Recently, the company introduced its LKS Sealä, a multi-component seal consisting of a Canted-coilä spring-energized, graphite-reinforced PTFE sealing ring coupled with a high-temperature engineered thermoplastic anti-extrusion element and a metal locking ring. Under the high pressures and velocities common to oilfield environments, the LKS Seal provides superior protection against extrusion. The compact, all-in-one LKS design eliminates the need for costly sealing assemblies and simplifies maintenance and replacement. It has been proven to provide up to 150% more service life in critical high PV applications.

Bal Seal’s precision-engineered Canted-coilä springs are playing a major role in the advancement of aerospace and defense technology — including the recent development of a breakthrough connecting system for satellite solar array panels.
