Continuing to Lead the Way in Guide Wheel Technology
Bishop-Wisecarver, together with our exclusive partner HepcoMotion®, offers a broad range of guide wheel based linear and rotary motion solutions. From dirty conditions and corrosive environments to cleanroom and washdown, our innovative collection of linear and rotary guide products come in many sizes, metal types and customizations to accommodate all types of loads ranging from light to heavy.
How did Bishop-Wisecarver get started as the leader in guide wheel technology? In the late 1960s, Bud was asked to design a fertilizer packaging machine for an oil company. He built the machine using flat rollers, but quickly noticed how falling debris jammed the flat rollers. He knew there must be a better way, and this led to the invention of DualVee Motion Technology®.
Also proving excellent for long length, smooth motion and low noise requirements in extreme environments, Dualvee was awarded a patent in 1972. The success of DualVee has led to the design and development of other Bishop-Wisecarver brand names including LoPro® linear actuators, MinVee® miniature slides, QuickTrak® single- edge and double-edge slide systems, UtiliTrak® linear guides, and several new additions based on the DualVee product line.
Today, Bishop-Wisecarver’s engineering team, led by Nigel Watson, continues to develop new products and custom solutions for tough application challenges all over the world.
