Helix Linear announces its new Micro Precision Linear Actuators, which are offered in three different configurations to meet a wide array of applications where precision linear motion is required. The three models are the Integrated Precision Actuator (“IPA”) with a lead screw integrated into a stepper motor, the Coupled Precision Linear Actuator (“CPA”) that uses a rigid flex coupling to mate a stepper motor to a lead screw and the Simple Precision Linear Actuator (“SPA”) which is hand-driven or coupled to a motorized linear actuator.
The compact and affordable Micro Precision Linear Actuator product line is priced at $199.00 for a 300 mm stroke complete with stepper motor, making this the most precise and cost-effective linear actuator on the market.
Helix has designed these linear actuators with anodized aluminum and noncorrosive components for years of dependable life and suitability for clean environments. The company laser welds its lead screws to the stepper motors for additional stiffness and loading.
The Helix linear actuators are available with optical rotary encoders, motor connectors, magnetic sensors and custom cables. Standard accessories such as mounting blocks, limit switches and high-payload options are also available.
“These new linear actuators mark another step for us toward building the most comprehensive offering of precise, lead screw-driven linear actuation solutions in the world,” says Chris Nook, President / CO of Helix Linear.
Helix’s Micro Precision Linear Actuators are also modular, which allows them to be built into X, Y, Z motion systems and gantries. Helix has also loaded all of these new linear actuators into its 2D/3D CAD offering, allowing engineers to build an infinite amount of configurations.
