MSP430FR57 family consists of multiple devices featuring embedded FRAM nonvolatile memory, ultra-low power CPU and different peripherals targeted for specific applications.
CHICAGO—Newark element14, the leading distributor of electronic components and engineering solutions in the Americas and a business of Premier Farnell (LSE:pfl), today announced the availability of TI’s new MSP430FR57 family, which leverages its leadership in both mixed signal and digital technologies.
FRAM provides unified memory with dynamic partitioning and memory access speeds 100 times faster than flash. Each device in the family features a flexible system that enables up to 7 Low Power Modes. LPMs allow increased optimization when paired with TI’s instant sub-1us wakeup time and various interrupt sources, and assure that a designer’s application uses only the appropriate clocks and peripherals that are necessary.
Typical applications include utility metering, portable instrumentation, intelligent sensing and consumer electronics.
