Epson introduced “Bertie,” its new dual-arm WorkSense W-01 robot that comes on wheels so it can be moved to different locations. The 7-axis arms have a reach of 545mm and a 6kg payload (3kg for each arm) and are designed to automate complex tasks in small spaces.
Berties comes equipped with four color cameras in its head, one in each wrist, and a force sensor in each arm. It features a single-axis waist for some flexibility. The gripper you see in the video above was designed specifically for Bertie and won’t be sold as a standalone product, according to Epson.
