LMI Technologies (LMI), Gocator 2410 and 2420 sensors are blue-laser profiling sensors designed for inspecting electronics and small parts. The high-performance line profile sensors provide an X resolution of 6 µm, reported to be the highest among 3D sensors on the market today. In addition, the sensors have repeatable results down to 0.2 µm in height. The new sensors achieve twice the speed of the company’s Gocator 2300 series (400-5000 Hz with windowing) and the double the possible resolution of scan data in the direction of travel. Using a blue laser to create profiles, the sensors deliver cleaner data around the edge of specular targets, enabling applications for electronics and small part feature recognition.
