3D Printing Motion Sub-Systems

By Maddie Lippert | May 25, 2017

NUTEC introduces a modular high performance 3-/4 Axis Gantry systems with travel ranges from 50mm to 600mm. Precision ballscrew drives or linear motors are user choices depending on desired performance characteristics.

Both versions use servo drive technology to facilitate adaption to a wide range of operating conditions and enabling 24/7 operations.

Architectures are available as simple X-Y Table with a Z-Axis on a Tower featuring a translator with fine pitch drive screw without backdriving to avoid brake motors.

Gantries are available as fixed bridge gantries or moving bridge gantries with linear servo motor drives. All systems are available installed on optional granite structures.

These translator also offer extended reliability and low-cost of ownership based on the 5-year service interval  simplifying maintenance substantially.

The 3-sided stainless steel cover with a concealed linear seal supports enhanced environmental protection.

Typical applications include 3D Printing, additive Manufacturing, Laser Sintering, UV Modeling and similar processes.

Available as a translator module or sub-system ready for operation with a CNC digital servo control and G&M-Code RS-274 supported by the Windows™  based nuFace graphic user interface.
