The self-adjusting MC150EUM Miniature Shock Absorbers from Ace Controls are self-contained hydraulic devices that feature an innovative sealing technology in an extremely compact design.
The MC150EUM features a stainless steel construction while its accessories and outer body are made of v4A (material 1.4404). With an operating temperature range of zero to 66°C, the shock absorber offers a maximum length of 87mm, a return force of up to 8.00N.
Generally, the maintenance free MC150EUM miniature shock absorber acts like the brakes in a car — decelerating the loads gently, without recoil or bounce back.
Its inner pressure chambers are also machined from solid high tensile alloy steel, offering a fully closed end, one-piece pressure chamber without the need for any seal or circlips.
Eliminating the need for external mechanical stop, the MC150EUM delivers longer service life, increased energy absorption and low stress transmission to machines while offering a wide range of DIN standardized accessories.
Its pressure chamber features an inverted piston design for optimized energy absorption. The piston rod is seamlessly driven into the shock absorber during the deceleration process.
Found in front of the piston, the hydraulic oil is pushed through numerous metering orifices, which eventually decrease in number based on the distance travelled via the stroke.
Meanwhile, the impact velocity is reduced to zero as it nears the end of stroke. The reaction force as well as the internal pressure, in front of the piston remains constant all throughout the stroke length, allowing the MC150EUM to offer a linear deceleration with the lowest strain on the machine.
