Additional NEMA 4 and 4X Hubbell-Wiegmann enclosures

By Andrew Zistler | February 8, 2016

automationdirectAutomationDirect has added over 200 NEMA 4 and 4X enclosures and subpanels, in a wide variety of sizes, to their extensive Hubbell-Wiegmann line.

Aluminum single-door and lift-off cover wall mount enclosures have been added for applications where a lightweight, corrosion-resistant enclosure is required for electrical, electronic or pneumatic components. Bodies and doors are fabricated from 2mm aluminum with external mounting plates on top and bottom, and stainless steel screws and clamps to assure a water-tight seal.

Gasketed screw cover enclosures constructed with 14 or 12-gauge carbon steel or G-90 grade galvanized steel are now available. These units feature an ANSI-61 gray polyester powder-coated finish and stainless steel screws which thread into sealed wells to prevent liquid and dust from entering through the screw holes.

Additional freestanding single-door enclosures with three-point handles are designed to house electrical and electronic controls, terminals and instruments used in outdoor applications and in areas that are regularly hosed down or are otherwise very wet. Fabricated from 12-gauge steel, these enclosures feature an ANSI-61 gray polyester powder-coated finish; 12-gauge type 304 stainless steel models are also available.

Two-door floor mount models with three-point handles have also been added. Made from 10-gauge steel and body stiffeners for extra strength, these enclosures are designed with standard 12-inch floor kits welded to the bottom, heavy duty removable lifting eyes and collar studs for mounting optional panels. A rolled lip around three sides of the doors and along the top of the enclosure prevents liquid and contaminants from entering; models also available in 12/10-gauge type 304 or 316L stainless steel.

Stainless steel lift-off cover wall mountable enclosures are now available in 16-gauge 304 and 316L stainless steel models. Enclosures have external mounting feet on top and bottom, as well as stainless steel screws and clamps on four sides of the cover to assure a water-tight seal.

Designed for settings that are frequently wet or have constant exposure to water, other liquids and contaminants, stainless steel single-door wall mount enclosures with three-point padlocking handles are available. Constructed from 14-gauge type 304 or 316L stainless steel, these enclosures provide unmatched protection for housing electrical components in highly corrosive environments; painted 304 stainless steel models are also available.
