Alpha Technologies wins two prestigious business accolades

Mark Schnarr, CEO & President of Alpha Technologies Ltd., accepts the Advancing Technology and Innovation Award at the 2013 BC Export Awards.

Alpha Technologies Ltd., leading supplier of power solutions for communications networks, traffic, security and industrial applications, is proud to announce it has been the recipient of two business accolades that recognize organizations that have demonstrated exceptional operational and business excellence in their community and marketplace.

Firstly, on Thursday, November 14th, Alpha was recognized by the City of Burnaby and the Burnaby Board of Trade at the Burnaby Business Excellence Awards as the 2013 Burnaby Business of the Year.

President and CEO, Mark W. Schnarr, commented, “Earlier in 2013 we were a finalist for the BC Technology Industry Association (BCTIA) Company of the Year award. By winning the Burnaby Business of the Year award we are elated and honored that the local business community is taking note of our many achievements.”

Secondly, on Friday, November 15th, Alpha was named by the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters – BC Division and the Ministry of International Trade as the 2013 B.C. Exporter of the Year in the Advancing Technology & Innovation category. Alex Chassels, Alpha’s Director of Supply Chain noted, “With close to 80% of Alpha’s revenues coming from outside Canada, an ability to efficiently sell and deliver into export markets is a key foundation to our current success and future growth.”
