A desirable feature in many products is flexibility. TT electronics BI Technologies is developing an absolute encoder that promises to deliver greater flexibility for robotics and industrial applications through the inclusion of its proprietary DAPS (Digital Angular Position Sensor) technology. Available with multiple output configurations, the encoder will feature 12-bit resolution over 360-degree rotation.
The encoder package is similar to industry standard HS35 devices. But it features a microprocessor-based design for the increase in its flexibility. You can program the device‚’s zero-degree position (with serial I/O option) at the time of installation.
Numerous output options, including multiple index points, custom coding, and software turns counters, are also available. The absolute encoder will feature a bearing life of more than 1 billion revolutions. Beta samples with limited options are currently available, and lead-time for custom samples is 12 weeks.
