Anti-backbend chains perform a similar function as linear drives, eliminating the need for an endless, circulating chain drive. These chains are flexible in only one direction, so they are used for pushing loads and transmitting forces over longer distances without the need for a guidance system. Compact in design, the chains can transmit tensile and compressive forces.
The side- and backbend capability is individually adjustable. The chains can be made in a range of sizes and configured for various drive concepts, including for larger strokes.
