Arkema, a diversified material science and chemical company including in the development of adhesives and sealants, has been recognized among the chemicals sector’s global leaders in sustainability, per the 2021 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) — improving its ranking to third place in the DJSI World.

For the second consecutive year, Arkema is ranked near the top out of the 139 companies assessed in the “chemicals” category. With a score of 82 out of 100 from the Standard & Poor’s global CSA, Arkema is proving its commitment and performance in the environmental and social, as well as economic and governance dimensions.
Within the ranking, it received particularly strong results in the area of innovation, climate strategy, water management, environmental and social reporting, as well as human capital development.

- In the face of climate emergency, Arkema fully supports the target defined by the Paris Agreement to keep global warming “well below 2° C” above pre-industrial levels by 2100. It s committed to reducing its absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 38% by 2030 compared to 2015, regardless of the growth in its business activities.
