TWINSBURG, OH ‚– Pepperl+Fuchs introduces new AS-Interface Signal Towers. Designed to provide visual and/or audible status indication in industrial automation applications, these stacklights have an IP65 housing to protect against water and dust, and can be powered directly by an AS-Interface cable or an auxiliary power supply. They are available in red, yellow, green, blue and clear LED color options, and provide 100,000 hours – or more than 11 years – of continuous operation. Audible alarms up to 105dB are also available.
Just two wires are necessary to connect all stacklights together, and the network cable powers up to four LED indicator lights, or three lights and an audible alarm. Typical stacklights with four indicators use five wires running back to the main panel. Because up to 31 towers can operate from a single network, wiring can be reduced from as many as 155 wires down to just two, to significantly reduce installation time and cost.
