Based on the Intel‚® Atom‚â„¢ processor, the card brings advanced multi-core processing, netcentric battlefield communications connectivity, graphics and next generation security options to a rugged, small form factor 3U VPX architecture ideal for space, weight and power (SWaP) constrained applications such as embedded security systems, R-MIDs (Rugged-Mobile Internet Devices), secure radios, manpacks, wearable electronics, vetronics, in-vehicle networking, telematics, situational awareness systems, graphics systems, embedded robotics, electronic vehicle health monitoring systems, and general purpose low power rugged or secure computing.
About the VPX3-1100 ATOMIC
The VPX3-1100 ATOMIC provides a 1.1GHz Intel‚® ATOM processor and up to 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM, 1GB NAND Flash, a BIOS Firmware Hub (FWH) and a Trusted Platform Module for trusted boot. The VPX3-1100 ATOMIC backplane input/output includes two (2) high performance PCIe (x1) fabrics, 2x GbE interfaces, 2x RS232 Serial interfaces, 8x GPIO, 2x USB 2.0, VGA, Audio (Mic, L/R), and XMC I/O. Additional features include a Basecard user-programmable FPGA and Secure Computing Mezzanine card for advanced security and perimeter defense applications.
