AVX Corporation has signed an agreement with authorized master distributor, Waldom Electronics. Waldom, which caters to the unique needs of distributors, will offer an extensive portfolio of AVX’s best-in-class tantalum, ceramic, film, and niobium oxide capacitors to its vast network of small to medium sized regional distributors who have a substantial local presence, but otherwise do not meet the requirements for being an authorized distributor. Waldom will also offer support for stock outs, extended EOLs, new product introductions, and engineering kits designed to facilitate the design-in of AVX products in a broad range of end-market applications.
“Joining with Waldom will provide the distribution market with the support it needs across the full range of components that we manufacture. It also enables us to efficiently and cost effectively service portions of our end customer base whose needs can’t readily be met by AVX or many of our existing authorized distributors.
