Beswick Engineering offers manifold mount regulators

By Pneumatics Editor | June 19, 2012

Beswick Engineering (www.beswick.com) has expanded its miniature pressure regulators portfolio with the addition of the manifold mount versions — the PRD28 two-stage pressure regulator, PRDB8 high accuracy, single stage pressure regulator and the PRDHF8 high flow regulator.

A manifold mount variant of the company’s PRDB pressure regulator, the PRDB8 regulator features a patent pending valve mechanism that is designed to deliver high reliability/high precision at low set pressures and low flows. It is specifically developed to regulate pressures as low as 0.5 psig while controlling output pressures ranging from 0 to 30 psig. With a supply pressure of up to 500 psig, the PRDB8 connects through a 10-32 UNF threaded port and weighs around 25 grams in stainless steel.

The two-stage PRD28 pressure regulator offers the capability to accurately reduce high-pressure inputs of up to 500 psig down to 0 to 20 psig. Designed to regulate pressures as low as 0.5 psig, the PRD28 offers minimal droop and rise despite the wide swings in inlet flow and pressure. It weighs 52 grams in brass and connects through a 5/16-24 UNF threaded port.

Meanwhile, the PRDHF8 regulator is generally used in applications requiring higher flows than those offered by the PRDB pressure regulator. Designed to regulate low pressures, it can control output pressures ranging from 0 to 30 psig. With maximum inlet supply pressure of 500 psig, the PRDHF8 connects through a 5/16-24 UNF threaded port and weighs around 52 grams in stainless steel and brass.

These pressure regulators are ideally suited for various applications such as medical equipment, hydrogen fuel cells, laboratory equipment, instrumentation, semiconductor manufacturing equipment and ink jet print engines.
