Bimba OLE actuators deliver great durability, long life

Bimba Manufacturing Company’s (www.bimba.com) first standard rod-type electric actuators offer great durability, long life and high speed.

Ideally suited for applications that require greater control, the Original Line Electric (OLE) rod type actuators features a modular design that allows customers to purchase them as an actuator, motor and control solution or solely as an actuator, accepting the user’s preference of stepper, motor or servo.

Its special screws deliver high speeds, high precision, while enabling longer standard strokes. Axial misalignment of the motor shaft and motor is corrected by its custom motor couplers. To prevent rotation and provide side load capacity, the actuators have been fitted with square rod and bronze rod bearing. Meanwhile, dual angular load bearings absorbs axial load to protect the motor.

The OLE actuators features high flux piston magnet, stainless steel, dies cast housing, low friction self-lubricating nut, high torque step motor, reverse parallel motor pulleys and special high torque clamping coupler. Available without motors, the OLE actuators are also offered with matching drivers and integral step motors.

In addition, the one year warranty of the OLE actuators covers materials and workmanship and can be expanded to two years free of charge.

Measuring 1.5-, two- and three-inch diameters, the actuators also deliver thrusts of up to 350 pounds, strokes up to 18 inches and speeds of up to 24 inches per second.

Standard options include block front, trunion, pivot, clevis, and foot mounts, drivers, step motors, and encoders, washdown ratings, brakes, female rod threads, and switches and switch tracks.
