Both companies have a long history in Birmingham. Steel City was founded in 1968 and Birmingham Fastener in 1980, providing more than 100 years of combined fastener production.
Birmingham Fastener — manufacturer and distributor of fasteners for OEMs, structural steel fabrication, metal building manufacturers, transportation, utilities, construction, and others — recently acquired Steel City Bolt and Screw, a provider of specialty fasteners and components.
“We look forward to serving and partnering with all current customers of Steel City Bolt and Screw,” states a news release from Birmingham Fastener.
Operations of Steel City Bolt and Screw will be consolidated into the production facility of Birmingham’s corporate headquarters in Alabama. The company has distribution centers in Alabama, Florida, and Texas.
“In doing this, the level of service we can offer our valued customers will be increased. Customer service remains paramount at Birmingham Fastener; in-turn, all Steel City Bolt and Screw customers will become valued partners of Birmingham Fastener and be serviced as a top priority,” adds the release.
The mission of Birmingham Fastener and its affiliated companies is to provide customers with quality products and superior service in distribution and manufactured fastener products.
