Bison Gear Introduces New IP69K Stainless Steel SANIMotor

By Miles Budimir | June 23, 2011

Bison’s new IP69K rated stainless steel SANIMotor™ uses state-of-the art technology to ensure long,maintenance-free gearmotor life.

This revolutionary gearmotor completely encapsulates all electrical components in thermally conductive epoxy resin, allowing use for up to 40°C (104°F) ambient temperatures. The encapsulated SANIMotor™ is completely enclosed with 304 stainless steel tubing, sealed with EDPM rubber o-rings and secured with hex bolts to guarantee against leaking. Electrical termination is completed with a removable IP69K ABS cordset with a modular, multi-pin power connector.

There are two frame sizes available in 34F (88.4 mm) and 49F (127.0 mm) for the three-phase, 230V SANIMotor™. Each frame size is mated to 7 standard gearing ratios which offer output speeds from 345 RPM to 8 RPM with rated torques ranging from 7 to 500 in-lb (0.8 to 56.5 N-m). The SANIMotor™ was designed for use with variable frequency drives in constant torque configuration from 6 – 60 Hz and constant horsepower configuration from 60 – 90 Hz.

SANIMotor™ is ideal for applications in food, chemical and pharmaceutical processing. High pressure, high temperature water spray industries would greatly benefit from the IP69K rated stainless steel SANIMotor™. Some of those industries include:

–Foodservice Equipment
–Packaging Machinery
–Factory Automation
–Car Wash Equipment
–Material Handling
–Specialty Machinery

SANIMotor™ products are part of Bison’s In-Stock, Instant-Ship (ISIS) program that supports Bison’s distribution partners and web customers offering same day shipment for orders received before noon (Central Time).
