Electric motor manufacturer Bison Gear & Engineering Corp. has been selected one of Chicago’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies for which to work. The Best and Brightest awards were established to honor those companies that recognize employees as their greatest asset. The 2007 awards recognize companies that work with imagination and conviction to create organizational value and business results through their policies and Best Practices in human resource management.
Best and Brightest nominees are reviewed by a panel of judges looking for a unique thought process with top support from senior management and policy makers. They are looking for above average programs, services and solutions for employees. Bison Gear’s Skilled Workforce Initiative, a joint program with other manufacturers, economic development organizations, and educational institutions, is an example of a program which remedies the shortage of qualified entry level employees in manufacturing.
Bison will be honored with the other recipients at an awards ceremony on August 6 at the Chicago Marriott in Oak Brook, Illinois.
