The potential for clean energy in the ten Mexican and American border states is boundless, says the Texas General Land Office, which hosts the 19th annual Border Energy Forum this October in Hermosillo, Sonora.
The event helps forge partnerships among people in the growing border region, organizers say, and work on the twin goals of economic development and environmental protection.
Organizers say the event has become a cornerstone for energy policy and program development in the region, as representatives from the American and Mexican governments will join hundreds of energy producers, researchers, consumers, and environmentalists.
Last year, the forum dedicated a workshop to wind energy and is likely to do the same this year. The forum will be held Oct. 22-24. Registration opens soon.
