The DPS and DPH Series of heavy-duty plastic enclosures give designers exceptional flexibility in installing printed circuit boards and other components. The enclosures have provisions for mounting panels in the base, cover, and anywhere between via mounting channels.
“The new series offers designers the flexibility they want and the protection they need,” said Blair Haas, Bud Industries CEO. “It is easy to divide the enclosure interior into sections of different depths and locations,” he said. For example, a designer may mount displays in the transparent cover, mount circuit boards on a panel in the middle, and mount the power supply in the base,” he said.
In addition to design flexibility, the enclosures are rated NEMA 6P and IP68, making them dustproof and waterproof to the point of submersion. The enclosures are candidates for housing electronics in locations exposed to weather or factory washdown.
The DPS Series features a screw-down cover; the DPH series features a hinged cover. All models have the option of a clear or opaque cover. Each series comes in nine sizes ranging from 7.04×5.04×4.83 inches to 13.24×11.20×7.70 inches.
Made of thick UV-rated polycarbonate plastic and including stainless steel hinges and padlock latch, the enclosures are corrosion resistant and suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Optional clear covers made of impact-resistant polycarbonate preserve the high protection ratings by avoiding the need to cut holes in the top for displays and indicators.
The DPS and DPH Series enclosures simplify the installation of components by enabling many mounting configurations. Equipment can be mounted to the panels that then can be installed on bosses in the cover and base of the enclosure. A floating hinged or non-hinged panel may be installed at infinitely adjustable positions using sliding mounting hardware and corner channels. The optional panels include all hardware needed.
DPS and DPH Series plastic enclosures are available from stock at the top industrial electronic distributors at prices starting at $45.85 for larger quantities.
