Calculate torque and find fastener dimensions easily with Nord-Lock’s digital tools

By Michelle Froese | July 11, 2022

Gather fastener and bolt-tensioning data quicker and easier with Nord-Lock’s digital tools, which are available at no charge.

Whether you’re looking for an easy method to calculate torque or a quick way to find fastener dimensions, Nord-Lock Group‘s web applications allow you to access the information directly from your mobile device. This means that instead of worrying about bringing the correct documents to a site, you can concentrate on accurately solving bolting challenges.

Nord-Lock, a global provider of engineering and bolting technologies, latest digital tools include:

1. The Boltplus Bolt Load Calculation App is a free tool that can assist you in selecting the right hydraulic bolt-tensioning tool for your standard flange application — or enquire for specialized tooling. What makes Boltplus different from similar apps on the market is the speed, ease of use, and ability to save all the calculations against a project. You can also make a request for a special tensioner or enquire about your selections directly in the app.

2. The Torquelator is quick and easy to use. If you need an easy way to calculate preload and torque for bolted joints secured with Nord-Lock or the X-series washers, the Torquelator is a simple solution to help you achieve safe bolted joints. Simply select your preferred calculation method (Kellermann & Klein or VDI2230), bolt size (metric or imperial), bolt grade, and/or the lubricant to get an instant torque value. This web application can be used on any mobile device, so you can easily make calculations onsite without having to carry a brochure around with you.

3. The Fastener Dimension Guide offers a simple way to find fastener dimensions based on ISO standards. This Guide can help you gather fastener data directly from your mobile device while performing bolted joint calculations. To find the fastener standard you need, select the ISO standard (ISO 4014, ISO 4017, ISO 4035, ISO 4762), bolt size and screw length.
