Caster Concepts, Inc. has acquired LARCASTER/Owl Welding of Selkirk, Manitoba, torsion caster manufacturer.

President William H. Dobbins stated, “This is an exciting opportunity for Caster Concepts. LARCASTER pioneered torsion casters and we will carry on the manufacturing of their excellent products and superior customer service. Their products fit in well with our existing product lines and manufacturing processes.”

LARCASTER, an ISO 9001:2000 certified manufacturer of innovative torsion and custom casters similar to Caster Concepts, created the original torsion-powered balance caster.

Al Larson, former owner of LARCASTER, and Karen Hynes, Operations Manager, will remain on as consultants for a designated period to assure a smooth transition and that all customer needs are being met. Caster Concepts has moved all LARCASTER operations to its Albion, MI location and has begun manufacturing LARCASTER products.
