Chatsworth, CA ~ Performing under the harshest of environmental conditions, an expanded stroke range from 75 to 1,750 inches and its inherent flexibility are just three of the many features available to customers thanks to Celesco Transducer Products’ PT9420 linear position sensor.

This sensor is the most full-featured position transducers on the market today. Built for virtually any type of environment, the PT9420 is used in a wide variety of industries from material handling to water management, and hydraulic cylinder position to crane applications.

Electrical outputs include 2-wire 4-20 mA output signal and 3-wire 0-20 mA. It has an intrinsically safe option for hazardous areas and comes with aluminum and stainless steel housing options. And with a wide range of options to fit virtually any need, the PT9420 is in great demand among industrial and manufacturing clients.

As one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of linear and rotary management transducers, Celesco Transducer Products is focused on providing highly flexible, option-heavy solutions to the global market. So it has created the PT9420 with features that can’t be found anywhere else.

For example, the sensor’s expanded 75-1,750 inch stroke range offers industry-leading capabilities when compared to other string pots. And since it is sealed to meet NEMA 4 and IP67 standards, this cable-extension tranducer will perform well under virtually any type of environmental condition. That includes protection from extremely dirty and mucky environments, meaning it can be used virtually anytime and anywhere.

Optional IP68 conformance and pressure testing is available for submerged applications, and for wet or dry environments. Optional uses of the sensor include aluminum or stainless steel, the latter of which would be conducive in a marine environment to help combat corrosive characteristics. The potentiometer cycle life offers a long life cycle before signal degradation starts to occur.

This sensor can be installed in minutes and it works properly without perfectly parallel alignment. In addition it measures just six inches when the cable is fully retracted. Optional pressure testing is available down to 100 feet of water for submerged applications.

Celesco’s PT9420 transducer can operate in temperatures of -40 degrees to 200 degrees F. Circuit protection is available at a maximum of 38 mA.

There are many key applications and benefits of this feature-driven PT9420 transducer. A few of the more significant benefits include:

* Operating temperature of -40 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit to accommodate harsh environments

* 2-wire 4 to 20 mA and 3-wire 0 to 20 mA output signal options

* Standard stroke range of 75 to 550 inches and extended range of 600 to 1,700 inches

* Accuracy of plus or minus .12 percent full stroke

* Resolution is essentially infinite

* Enclosure material of power-painted aluminum or 303 stainless steel

* IP 68 rated option for submerged applications and CSA/Cenelec rating available for hazardous areas

From running large water control gates to using tunnel boring machines underground, the PT9420 is an extremely durable and versatile product with unmatched features. It is also available for immediate shipment.
