PT-400 Heavy Duty Pressure Transducers from Automation Products Group, Inc. have received ATEX and IECEx certification, rated EX II 1G Ex ia IIB T4 Ga, for use in hazardous locations throughout the world. With all stainless steel laser welded construction, these pressure transducers deliver reliable high pressure sensing in harsh environments that are prone to high shock and vibration and high pressure spikes throughout a wide range of operating temperatures. A larger size (5.3 in. tall by 1.5 in. wide) PT-400 pressure transducer, ideal for oil and gas applications, is also now available.
PT-400 pressure transmitters provide a minimum of 10 million operating cycles with high accuracy up to ±0.1% F.S. (B.F.S.L.), in operating temperatures from -40 to 180°F. They cover pressures ranging from 0 up to 20,000 psi, along with high burst pressure to 3x full scale (limited by the process connection) and overpressure to 2x full scale for in-process reliability. The PT-400 is designed for demanding applications in oil drilling, water and wastewater industries as well as for general use in other industries.
PT-400 pressure transducers offer standard 4-20mA, 0-5 VDC and 0-10 VDC outputs with a 1/4-18 NPTM process connection. Even with the rugged stainless steel housing, users still have access to zero and span adjustments for calibration to specific application requirements. Their rugged construction and performance attributes make them well suited for static and dynamic pressure measurement where an amplified output signal is desired. A number of options, including extended temperature compensation, higher accuracy ratings and alternate process fittings, among others, are available.
The transmitters are also cCSAus certified for use in hazardous locations throughout North America. Units with 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC and 4-20 mA outputs are rated for Class I, Div. 2, Groups C and D, and Class I, Zone 2, Group IIB hazardous locations. In addition, units with 4-20 mA output are rated for cCSAus certified for use in Class I, Div. 1, Groups C and D, and Class I, Zone 0, Group IIB hazardous locations. The ATEX and IECEx certification applies only to 4-20ma units.
