Amphenol Industrial Global Operations, Sidney, N.Y., has enhanced its AT Circular (ATC) thermoplastic connectors by incorporating Amphenol’s AT contact technology. These upgraded connectors mate with a positive reverse bayonet retention system and can withstand current up to 13 A.
Sealed and rated to 125ºC, ATC connectors are ideal for communication and diagnostic testing in construction and agriculture equipment and heavy duty trucks and buses. Available in 3-, 5- and 9-way receptacles, these connectors are drop-in replacements to existing panel designs. The 9-way receptacles are also available with a jam nut for quick assembly.
Reverse bayonet coupling design allows for quick mating and unmating. These corrosion resistant, heavy-duty industrial connectors are environmentally sealed against moisture and contaminants. They performs reliably for more than 100 mating/unmating cycles with no electrical/mechanical defects. The connectors’ contact retention system helps decrease installation costs and increase reliability.
These RoHs compliant ATC connectors feature size 16 machined contacts and are made from a high quality copper alloy. They are available in both nickel and gold plating. The connectors have an operating temperature range of –55ºC to 125ºC. Stamped and formed contacts are available upon request, as well as connectors with higher temperature ratings to 150ºC. Various caps are available for each version.
They withstand current up to 13 A at 125ºC and offer resistance of 6 Ohms using MIL-STD-1344 method 3002-1. Finally, they offer crimp tensile strength of 25 lb and are water resistant to 3 ft.
