Crystek Corp., Fort Myers, Fla., has extended the frequency range of its high performance RF coaxial cable assemblies to 50 GHz. The new 50 GHz low-loss RF cable assemblies feature corrosion-resistant 2.4 mm 303 stainless steel connectors and three levels of shielding for low attenuation (loss) over distance (1.44 dB/ft. at 50 GHz). They are in stock in standard lengths of 24, 39.4 and 48 in., with custom lengths available.
Ideally suited for high-frequency interconnects in mission-critical applications and microwave laboratories, the new cable assemblies (P/N series CC2450-MM-150) provide RF shielding of >90 dB with an operating temperature range of -55° to 85ºC.
The cables feature an outer diameter of 0.122 in. (3.10 mm) and offer a minimum bend radius of 0.40 in. Each cable is constructed with a silver-plated copper wire center conductor, flat silver-plated copper strip inner shield, aluminum polyimide foil middle shield and silver-plated copper braid outer shield, with an ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) dielectric. The stainless steel SST connectors feature a gold-plated beryllium copper center pin, with a durability of 500 connections minimum.
